President |
During the previous board's administration, the Past Presidents have completed a review of the PowerTipps bylaws. The updates made were made to clarify existing "rules" and further outline the roles of the board, the board positions, members, sponsors, etc. To review the updated bylaws, please CLICK HERE.
Fall is here, and it's a good time to look toward expanding our mambership. Several business categories are currently available, among them are Chiropractor, Credit Card Processing, Drafting, Eye Doctor, Flowers/Florist, Janitorial, Landscape Supply, lighting, Mini-Storage, Notary, Photography, Real Estate Inspection, Shipping/Postal Services, Title Company and Window Cleaning. Of course, these are just examples and, potentially there are many others. Consider those that you've done business with and that you would be comfortable referring business to.
As always, potential new members business categories should be PRE-viewed with the V.P (Butch Peacock).
As I noted in our September 25th meeting, with the changes in major parts of how we live our lives, we may want to consider letting those that represent us know how we feel about these things. Whether you agree or disagree with those representing us, it would be worth while to let these folks know how we feel. For you're convenience, I've placed Contact information for the Congressman and Senator representing this area on the Events page.
In the past few months, we have seen a decline in regular attendance. With that in mind, I have a couple of requests.
- First - Please read the bylaws. Re-acquainting outselves with our mission and member responsibilities might be useful.
- Second - If you know members that have been missing regnular meetings, perhaps a call from a fellow member would be useful. The board will soon be sending lettters to members who consistantly miss our meetings as well.
- Third - This board has been open to suggestions for how we might improve our meetings. If you have a suggestion, bring them up with the board. In person or via email.
IMPORTANT REQUEST FOR SPONSORING MEMBERS
Please contact Kathie Colosimo, Vice President of PowerTipps before inviting new members. The V.P. will help to make sure that there are no conflicts with existing members.
Please view the bylaws for updates based on recent meetings.
If you have suggestions, please contact one of the board members or send an email to TheBoard@powertipps.com.

Ed Collins spoke on referrals and the Powertipps group. He said that it is imperative to have a 24 hour turn around time on service and to be competitive. Always think of the members first when you know of someone that needs something! You should always have a member list with you to hand out. A soft referral is giving out a card or a list. A hard referral is getting the person in needs card and then giving it to the member. Please remember to give members a chance to earn your business. Remember a member!
Next week's speaker (Feb 5) is Clifford Roatch of SendOutCards.com
