Bill discussed how we might leverage our marketing efforts by exchanging website links between our member businesses.

Many of us have websites.  If we exchange links and each of us “promotes” our sites…. We will experience an exponential benefit from all of our labors.

It is important that web pages be assembled to maximize their effectiveness relative to search engines. Of equal importance is the need to ensure that our website content is clear and focused from the perspective or our prospective visitors. Site content as well as some "invisible" elements (META Tags, etc.) can make web pages "Search Engine Friendly" and allow us to acheeve better results from our macketing and promotional efforts.

We currently have apx. 61 members.   Of those, we have detail PowerTipps pages for all but 6 member businesses.  At least a dozen of us also have our own websites.

Having your name, business name, products and services and other useful information on the site serves a useful purpose.

Each month, the PowerTipps website is submitted to over 625,000 search engines, directories and link sites.  That would be over 7.5 MILLION locations in a year’s time.  If each member business included links to the other PowerTipps member sites, the number of "exposures" to everyone would be amaizing. Visibility is KEY.

About the PowerTipps website..

The site is not just about PowerTipps; the Tipps group.  It incudes a good deal of information relative to our member businesses plus some "special pages"

Why special pages…. This gives us more opportunity to place our names, businesses, products and services in front of potential customers.

The Events Page with several areas for posting information. If a member has something they would like others to see, it's legal, appropriate for the group, in good taste.. and as long as my time is available, I'll post the information to the site. The categories include:

PowerTipps Events - information on events sponsored by PowerTipps.
Member Services - information provided by members that may or may not have much to do with PowerTipps or their business. Community Service announcements, etc.
PowerTipps Announcements - special PowerTipps anouncements, usually provided by the board.

Spotlight Business Pages - opportunity for Press Release or sharing more information about yourself and your business when you are a scheduled PowerTipps Speaker (Contact our Secretary to sign up!)
