Bill Sever
President |
Please accept my apology for the delay in posting these minutes. I have been consumed by a personal, family loss and have been away from the computer.
Please join me in welcoming Chuck Whteley's new business. Chuck has been a long time member with "Energy Release" and was voted in as a new member in the area of Kangen Water.
Thank you Trisha Artis for your efforts on behalf of PowerTipps as you so handily completed this term as Secretary. Your efforts are much appreciated.
On election day (Friday, June 26th), elections were held. The new board will be in place for the next regular meeting on July 10, 2009.
Those elected were:
Bill Sever - President - NetBest Internet Services (incumbent)
Butch Peacock - Vice President - Free Lance Carpentry (incumbent)
Gayle White - Treasurer - Closets Etc. (incumbent)
Mike Earin - Secretary - Robideaux Motors
Now that I'll be able to call a bit more time my own, I hope to focus more on the PowerTipps Bylaw review. If you would like to participate, please contact let us know. The plan is to meet one morning next week and my hope is to complete the review and submit changes to the membership in June of this year.
Issues raised by the membership:
Responding and acting on PowerTipps member issues is a difficult task. Your current Board members and I are committed to ensuring that our bylaws and rules are followed and that all members can be confident that we will act in the interest of PowerTipps when issues arise.
While we will NOT attempt to resolve business disputes between members, I feel it is our obligation to ensure that all PowerTipps members can be confident that, when questions regarding business ethics, PowerTipps rules, bylaws, etc. are brought to the Board, they will be given priority and will be addressed. From time to time, I will request input from the Past President Advisory committee to be sure matters are fully considered.
If you have questions, please view the bylaws or contact any of the Board members.
Group membership in the Coeur d'Alene Chamber. (in process of defining our roles)
Katie Mans presented a recommendation that we consider joining the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce at the "Access Level 3, Enhanced Marketing Option" level. CLICK HERE to view what is included in this option.
A vote of members present determined that PowerTipps will pursue this option.
Are you interested in hosting a PowerHour? If so, please contact one of us on the board so we can add your business to the schedule. Several months are still available.
We are looking for more ways to bring business knowledge to our membership. Perhaps asking our Featured/Spotlight Business speakers to share the "best practices" that they feel help them to be successful.
This board is interested in hearing suggestions from the membership.
Please view the bylaws for updates based on recent meetings.
If you have suggestions, please contact one of the board members or send an email to TheBoard@powertipps.com.
