Merchants pay more in fees than to the "middle-man" because they do not want them to know how THEY make money! I will explain it all and make sure the merchant does not get taken advantage of. When a merchant is called or visited by a credit card processor sales person from a company other than Heartland, they are selling to put more money in their pocket, and take it out of yours. I know merchants have grown cynical of the industry, you do not want to here from one of "us" again. Heartland is not part of the "us".
